The service provides breaks for carers looking after a dependant person at home in Cornwall and can include children or adults with varying health or social care needs.
We can provide a break for a few hours to enable the carer to go shopping, continue an outside interest, have a full undisturbed night’s sleep or where possible a few days away.
An assessment will be made by a fully trained Co-ordinator prior to the start of the service.
The service is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection. All staff have undergone an enhanced disclosure through the Criminal Records Bureau, and an induction programme and training towards NVQ2 in Care
There is a charge for this service, although you may be eligible for help through Cornwall Social Services.
We also offer training packages, advice, information and support.
Other projects include Activ8 and R.A.T.S. in partnership with Cornwall Social Services.
